How does Club-Minder work?

Club-Minder sounds an audible alarm in the form of several "chirps" when the golfer leaves the divot tool in close proximity to his unretrieved club.  This alarm will not disturb other golfers during their play, but is loud enough for the user to be reminded that a club has been left at the previous point of play.

What happens if I get too far away and the divot tool no longer receives the signal from the transmitter in the tool?  Will the signal be lost forever?

No.  It is a simple matter to mate the divot tool to the transmitter for a few seconds to resynchronize the signals between the devices.

How long do the batteries last?

The divot tool has a permanently sealed gel capacitor that is charged in about ten seconds by the 6-volt battery in the receiver.  The charge is done just prior to play and lasts about eight (8) hours, more than enough time for 18 holes.  The 6-volt battery will last about one season, depending on amount of golf played, and can be easily replaced by the user with a 6-volt camera battery available at many retail outlets.

What happens if I lose the divot tool?

If that happens, TASCO Products will provide a new divot tool at very reasonable cost.  Once the two devices are mated together, just as before each round, they will automatically resynchronize and be fully charged.

What if I break the divot tool?

The divot tool is made in the USA of acetyl delrin plastic.  It is very strong and should not ever break under normal golf conditions.  If it does, TASCO will provide a new unit at minimal cost provided your divot tool is returned otherwise operational.  Contact TASCO Products through our Web site for return authorization.

Is Club-Minder FCC approved?

Club-Minder satisfactorily passed the required FCC test procedures for all electronic signaling devices.  The FCC certification numbers appear on the device and in the documentation.  It has also been patented at the United States Patent Office under Pat. Nos. 6040772 & US 6407667 B1.

What is the Club-Minder warranty?

Club-Minder is warranted for one-year from date of purchase with original purchase receipt or web-site purchase confirmation.  The warranty includes normal use but does not include damage to the devices caused by mishandling, opening of the transmitter/divot tool case or improper handling.  It is made to withstand any normal use.  For repair under warranty contact TASCO Products through our Web site for return authorization.
